Words Beginning With “TH”
Words that begin with “th” are often about other people: One of the biggest holidays in the United States is Thanksgiving, and it always falls on a Thursday. Thanksgiving is when we give thanks to our ancestors and eat turkey (a beast) with our relatives. “Thank you” is a very nice thing to say at this time or anytime. It’s thoughtful, and when people have a thirst for kindness, throwing some “Thank you’s” around is never a bad thought. The phoneme /th/ requires that you show your teeth when you say it. If you do not show your teeth, you are not pronouncing /th/ correctly. I call English the “show your teeth” language.
